Vedam (Telugu: వేదం) is an upcoming 2010 Telugu film directed by Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi. It will star Allu Arjun,Manoj Manchu,Anushka Shetty,Lekha Washington and will be released in mid of 2010.
Although it was thought to be release before Varudu, but due to some last minute plan changes, Allu arjun wants Varudu to be released for summer. So the production was delayed.
Vedam sets a New Trend:
After giving a blockbuster like Gamyam, its director Jagarlamudi Radhakrishna alias Krish is bringing out a film called Vedam with yet another different subject. Moreover, the film is a true multi-starrer and has gained the attention of the Telugu film industry for launching a new trend in Tollywood.
Stylish Star Allu Arjun, promising hero Manchu Manoj and sensational heroine Anushka are playing the lead roles in this film being produced by Yarlagadda Sobhanadri and Devineni Prasad under the banner of Arka Media. The shooting, which is away from any kind of publicity, is almost nearing completion. While Allu Arjun is playing the role of a slum youth, Manoj is donning the role of a rock star, while Anushka is portraying the role of a prostitute in this film.
Director says, “Each character in the film would be quite different and the movement of the film would be very interesting.” MM Keeravani has scored tunes for the flick and the shooting is likely to be wrapped up in November. However, the producers are making efforts to release the film in Mid or October 2010 as a Dasara gift.
