Malayalam Actor Sreenath Found Dead

KERALA, INDIA - According to reports, Sreenath who is one of the well known Malayalam film and television actors was found dead in his hotel room in town in Kerala at around 8:30 am. Reports claim that the body of the actor was found dead in the hotel room by one of the hotel staffs who then informed the authority and the police. The wrist of the deceased was found slit reportedly.

As per the reports, Police have maintained that the possibility of a suicide could not be totally ruled out in this case as the wrist of Sreenath was found cut. The Malayalam actor was shooting for a film in the town reportedly. Sreenath had for the last two days been in Kothamangalam in the Ernakulam district shooting for the film “Shikar” in which he was reportedly co-starring with the superstar Mohanlal. The district lies 250 kilometer from Thiruvananthapuram.

The Malayalam actor in his life time has seen many up and downs in his professional acting career. He started acting in 1980s and delivered some hit movies but could shine for long. He returned after many with projects in small screen and gained popularity for his small screen performances. He was awarded the best TV actor by one of the state awards. Malayalam actor Sreenath has to his credit hit films like “Salini Ente Kootukari”, “Oru CBI Dairy Kurippu”, “Ethu Njangalude Katha” and “Kireedom”. He last year acted in “Kerala Caf”. Apart from his film career, Sreenath also contested at the Lok Sabha elections. He was a Shiv Sena Candidate from the Attingal constituency.
