Application are invited from eligible candidates of RAJASTHAN DOMICILE including the wards of KASHMIRI MIGRANTS for the registration of Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test – 2009 for admission to first year of undergraduate programmes leading to Bachlor`s degree in different disciplines of Engineering (B . Tech / BE) in various Govt. aided add Private unaided technical institutions of Rajasthan ( except BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipur and other Deemed & Private Universities ) for the session 2010-2011.

EDUCATIONAL QALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION :
1) The minimum academic qualifications for admission to B Tech / BE program in RAJASTHAN is a pass in the final exam of 10+2 (Class xii) of Board of Secondary Education, RAJASTHAN or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, RAJASTHAN
2) Subject combination required in the qualifying examination for admission to B Tech / BE course shall be as under :
Course Compulsary Subjects Any other optional subjects
B Tech / Physics & (1) Chemistry (2) Bio-Technology
BE Mathematics (3) Computer Science (4) Biology
Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (10+2) in 2010 may also apply.

AGE LIMIT :
Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1985 are eligible. However in case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped(PH) Candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST, and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1980 are eligible. Date of Birth as recorded in the SECONDARY EDUCATION marksheet / certificate only will be taken as authentic.

EXAMINATION SCHEME :
RPET-2010 shall consist of single examination of three hours duration consisting 40 objective type questions in each of the subjects of PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY & MATHEMATICS. The total no. of questions will be 120 carrying one mark each. There will be no negative marking for wrong answer. The questions in the test booklet will be both in HINDI as well as in ENGLISH.

RPET-2009 will be conducted on 18TH JUNE, 2010, THURSDAY from 09.00 AM to 12.00 NOON at the centers in the following cities : AJMER, ALWAR, BANSWARA, BARMER, BHARATPUR, BHILWARA, BIKANER, CHURU, HINDAUN CITY, JAIPUR, JHALAWAR, JHUNJHUNU, JODHPUR, KOTA, PILANI, SIKAR, SIROHI, SRI GANGANAGAR, SAWAI MADHOPUR, TONK AND UDAIPUR.

AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATION FORM:
The Application Form along with all relevant material will be available for sale from 2nd APRIL, 2010 from the following branches of UCO BANK during banking hours (10.00 AM to 4.00 PM, on Saturday 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM) against cash payment of Rs. 700/- (inclusive of examination fees).

LAST DATE OF SUBMISSION :
Application form duly filled with relevant documents as per Information Booklet should reach to COORDINATOR RPET – 2010, Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan, W-6, Residency Road, Jodhpur – 342032 by 05.00 p.m. of 25th APRIL, 2010, irrespective of the fact whether 25th APRIL, 2010 is a working day or not. RPET – 2010 application form received after last date and time will not be accepted.
