Swami Nithyananda has been arrested on 21st April, 2010 at Solan in Himachal Pradesh today. Nithyananda was arrested after a non-bailable arrest warrant was issued against him by a court.The Swami Nithyananda will be taken to a local court in Solan or Simla for transit remand. and later he will be brought to Karnataka or Tamil Nadu.
A court in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu had issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against the Godman on April 19th.
Nithyananda was involved in a sleaze tape along with actress Ranjitha.
Nithyananda was arrested in Arki by Four teams of Bangalore Police, who had sought the help of the Himachal Police. The self-styled swami was likely to be taken to the Solan court or the Simla court for transit remand.
